Stand Up Comedy Level 1
This workshop focuses on the basic elements of stand up comedy performance. It is designed to allow participants to workshop material with a professional stand up comic. The objective will be to develop an original 3-5 minutes of stand up comedy that will be delivered in front of a live audience as the concluding class.
Designed to appeal to anyone who is interested in the art and science of stand up comedy, comedy writing, and live performance. The workshop will focus on common comedy themes, jargon, definitions, stage presence, and more.
In addition to developing material appropriate for stand up comedy, the workshop is also for anyone who has stage fright, fear of public speaking, or who has never spoken on stage before, but would like to find an entry into doing so.
